The best vegan restaurants in Tel Aviv

Vegans fear not, Tel Aviv pretty much has you covered anywhere you go as it’s one of the most vegan-friendly cities in the world. The truth is, you can walk into almost any restaurant in Tel Aviv and find innovative, nutritious vegan options, from basic salads to more elaborate dishes. That being said, Tel Aviv is also home to a lot of restaurants that are solely dedicated to serving vegan options, which means you will have a full menu of options to choose from rather than just one or two options you might find at a non-vegan restaurant. The next time you are in Tel Aviv and are looking for vegan-friendly restaurants or just want to branch out and try something new, check out our list of Tel Aviv’s most loved vegan restaurants.

Alegria

Unconventional and Photogenic

Although this might prove to be the hardest restaurant to get to, in terms of distance, the travel here is very much worth it. The menu here is completely unconventional and prepared so beautifully, you will want to photograph every dish. Expect menu items such as smoked mini-burgers made from black lentils, burned eggplant, cranberries, chipotle and shiitake mushrooms, and the Alegria Mixed Grill, which includes shiitake and button mushrooms, and tofu with fried onions and spices.

Rainbow Burgers

Burger Options

Some vegans miss the taste of meat or at least the consistency that certain meat has, and to help combat cravings, Rainbow Burger has got them covered. The textures, the look and the tastes come pretty close to the real thing. Their Reinburger is based on mushrooms and soybeans while their BeyondMeat Burger is based on pea protein and potato. They even have a Schnitzburger which is made from thin layers of soy coated in a panko crust.
