Casas na Areia, Comporta
Casas na Areia is a self-catering property located in Comporta on Portugal’s Costa Vicentina, known for its magnificent beaches, fresh seafood, delicious wines and majestic pine trees.
Set on the banks of the Sado River, home to a great variety of wildlife such as flamingos, storks, and dolphins, this is considered one of the best places in Portugal for bird watching.
The property consists of four individual houses; two constructed from wood and reed, the other two from concrete, all with thatched roofs, and created with materials sourced from the banks of the Sado. Each house features an open plan living room and a fully equipped kitchen that includes a microwave, a coffee machine and a dishwasher.
Guests literally have their feet in the sand because the floor in the living room is covered with it. The 30m2 double bedrooms have concrete floors and boast minimalist en-suite bathrooms. They can also enjoy the garden, which includes a swimming pool, outdoor furniture by Kettal, and a big day bed constructed on a local fishing boat.
Free WiFi is available throughout, all bedding and linen are provided, and daily breakfast and maid service are included.
Casas na Areia is a 1-hour drive south from Lisbon.
