Originally from landlocked Oklahoma, Mark travelled at an early age looking for something different—cities, foods, theatre, cultures. At age 5 he slept in a motorhome in downtown NYC and at age 12 he started his own travel agency in an empty train car meant as a backyard playhouse—complete with Braniff Airline timetable brochures and travel pennants. He now resides with his husband in the San Francisco Bay Area and travels for work as a tech lawyer and for fun as a couple, writing and planning as he goes.
