Egypt at a Glance

The majestic Nile and striking historic landmarks summon many to Egypt, while the enchanting desert and abundant delta impress travellers. Add in the country’s long and dynamic past and culture, it is a dream destination. The best time to visit Egypt is when you can avoid the worst heat. The Nile Valley is most temperate from November to February (December and January is the peak season). If travelling to the Red Sea Coast and Hurghada, you’ll notice it is busy all year round. Unfortunately, Egypt is not an LGBT-friendly country, and you should avoid public displays of affection and using dating apps when visiting. While crime rates are low, pickpocketing is something to look out for.
