Australia at a Glance

Australia is known as one of the most LGBT-friendly countries in the world. Not only does it showcase widespread public acceptance throughout the country, but it also provides the LGBT community with ample legal rights. In fact, according to Equaldex, the equality index in Australia is an impressive 84/100. When it comes to nature, Australia boasts epic contrasts – from bustling urban life in the big cities to lively wildlife in the country’s deserts, rainforests, and surrounding waters. While it’s home to some of the most famous natural wonders in the world like the Uluru monolith, the Great Barrier Reef, and the Twelve Apostles, there is more than meets the eye. If you know where to look, there is so much to discover! The best time to visit the northeastern part of Australia is during the winter when the climate is ideal. But this also means that this time of year attracts large crowds.
